Jonny Holland Nutritionist
Jonny is a SENR registered performance nutritionist with a Masters in Applied Sports & Exercise Nutrition. He has worked in both elite and amateur sport as a performance nutritionist. Jonny has 5 years experience working with Cork GAA with the senior hurlers and footballers and 2 years with Cork ladies footballers.
As well as that, Jonny has worked with private clients in all areas, from weight loss and muscle building to developing basic habits and routines around daily nutrition practices. Private clients range from non-exercisers through to amateur sports including GAA, running, hockey, cycling, regular gym goers and golfers right through to professional sports people in combat sports and rugby.
Jonny has vast amounts of experience with health & well-being seminars, programmes and events in corporate, sporting and educational settings. Some of the corporate clients which Jonny works with include companies such as Twitter, Eli Lilly, Janssen, HSE, Ervia, KPMG, Morgan McKinley, INMO and Thermo Fisher. Other organisations include many sports clubs, colleges, universities and secondary schools.
Workshop topics include general health and well-being, nutrition for high performance, practical fitness and nutrition tips, sports nutrition, the pillars of health & well-being among others. Jonny also offers corporate 1-1 nutrition consultations.
Jonny is a former professional rugby player with Munster Rugby. Since retiring from sport with a significant hamstring injury, he has spent 6 years coaching with Cork Constitution and currently head coach at the club. As a columnist with RTE rugby, Jonny is still heavily engaged in the sport.
